9. nap Máltán - DLinda

 Kilencedik nap, avagy a "Ma ropogósra sülsz! 2". Reggeli közben tervezgettem a mai napot és szerdától lehűlést mondanak, ami itt azt jelenti, hogy 42-ről 34-re megy vissza a fokhőmérséklet. Cidri lesz Drágáim! :-D Jól ki is találtam, hogy a meleg strandidőt még ma kihasználom és elmegyek a Golden Bay-re, de elmesélem a napomat és meg fogtok érteni, hogy miért nem tettem.

Ninth day, or "You're going to be crispy today! 2". I was planning today during breakfast and they say it will cool down from Wednesday, which means here that the temperature will drop from 42 to 34 degrees. Cider will be my dears! :-D I figured out that I'm going to take advantage of the warm beach weather today and go to Golden Bay, but I'll tell you about my day and you'll understand why I didn't.

Reggel kellemes reggelit fogyasztottam a légkondis hotelem éttermében és nem is sejtettem, hogy mi vár rám odakint. Az már feltűnt,, hogy a Luciano-nak 3 ajtaja van és eddig mindhárom tárva-nyitva volt, ma reggel viszont csak az egyik és azt is hamar becsukták a pincérek és a vendégek is maguk után. Amikor kiléptem az ajtón, rögtön mellbe vágott a meleg, és a reggeli mosakodás után az arcomra kent krém is mintha menekült volna kifelé a pórusaimból. Hétfőn reggel is meleg volt, de ez a keddi reggel sokkoló volt. 

In the morning I had a pleasant breakfast in the restaurant of my air-conditioned hotel and had no idea what was waiting for me outside. It was already noticed that Luciano has 3 doors and until now all three were wide open, but this morning only one and it was quickly closed by the waiters and the guests after themselves. When I stepped out the door, the heat immediately hit me, and the cream I applied to my face after washing in the morning seemed to escape from my pores. Monday morning was also warm, but this Tuesday morning was a shocker.

Mire elsétáltam az iskolába, teljesen leizzadtam és az arcomról patakokban folyt a víz. Ugye korábban már említettem, hogy 3 percnyi sétára van az iskola és abból csak egy percet kell egy enyhe lejtőn felfelé sétálnom, a többit lefelé teszem meg. A mikor megérkeztem, itt is az ajtók állapota lepett meg, de itt sajnos fordítva: nyitva voltak. Azért voltak nyitva, mert nem volt mit bent tartani, azaz a klímák nem működtek, ja és a lift se. Felkúsztam a negyedik emeletre, emeletről-emeletre éreztem, hogy melegszik a belélegzendő levegő, és mikor benyitottam a 404-es terembe tudtam, ez egy nagyon nehéz nap lesz. A nap telibe tűzi a termet, csak egy kis árnyékoló függöny van, klíma viszont nincs, én eddig nem legyeztem magam órán, de ma elkezdtem. 

By the time I walked to school, I was completely sweating and water was running down my face in streams. Didn't I already mention that the school is a 3-minute walk away, and I only have to walk up a gentle slope for one minute, the rest downhill. When I arrived, I was also surprised by the state of the doors, but here, unfortunately, it was the other way around: they were open. They were open because there was nothing to keep inside, i.e. the air conditioners didn't work, and neither did the elevator. I crawled up to the fourth floor, from floor to floor I felt that the air to breathe was getting warmer, and when I opened the door to room 404, I knew it was going to be a very difficult day. The sun is shining in the room, there is only a small shading curtain, but there is no air conditioning, so far I have not fanned myself in class, but I started today.

Alan számított a rossz klímára ezért megcserélte a tananyagot, és jött a könnyed, zenés óra. Mindkét órán azzal foglalkoztunk, hogy mi mindent lehet kihozni egy, a fiatalok által ismert és szeretett, zenés videóból. Leírom nektek az egyiket, jól figyeljetek, mert az összes feladat egy történet köré tekeredik: 1.: Felírta a táblára az " it's bust" kifejezést és ennek több formáját és jelentését, és eljutottunk a "Busted" nevű angol fiú együtteshez. 2.: Párban kaptunk egy szöveget, az egyikünknek az egyik fele, a másikunknak a másik fele volt meg, és a mondatok közepén voltak elfelezve. Háttal kellett ülni egymásnak és úgy lediktálni egymásnak a hiányzó szövegrészeket. A szöveg a Busted együttesről szólt. Aki először kész volt felélt, hogy jelezze, Ők az elsők. 3.: Picture Dictation: Le kellett tenni mindent a kezünkből és meghallgatni egy képleírást, és elképzelni, hogy nézhet ki a kép. 4,: Meghallgatni még egyszer és lerajzolni, hogy szerintünk mi hol helyezkedik el a képen a diktálás után. 5.: Felállni a helyünkről, körbe sétálni és megmutogatni egymásnak a cuki béna rajzainkat. (A képen egy férfi és egy nő látható, ahogy a nő átad egy fotót a férfinek az éppen felszállni készülő repülő mellett) 6.: Picture Story: képeket tett fel egymás után sorban a kivetítőre, kb. 15 képet és ebből az Ő vezetésével egy sztorit kreálni. A képek alapján az a történet született, hogy James Londonban él és találkozik Maria-val, aki máltai és divattervező. Egymásba szeretnek, de végül Maria-nak haza kell utaznia. 7.: Ezt nem írtuk le, hanem meg kellett jegyezni (nem ilyen rövid és tömör volt) és a párunknak pontosan, szóról szóra vissza mondani, ha hibáztunk, segítettünk egymásnak. 8.: Egy héttel Maria hazautazása után írt James-nek egy e-mailt, amit elolvashattunk a képernyőn, de csak 30 másodpercünk volt rá, és meg kellett mondani, hogy James örül vagy szomorú. (Szomorú volt, mert Maria azt írta, hogy hozzámegy egy gyerekkori barátjához nemsoká) 9.: Running Dictation: James sms-t írt Maria-nak, és az asztalomnál lévő 3 ember onnan tudta meg az sms szövegét, hogy nekem el kellett szaladnom a terem túl oldalára megjegyezni, amit tudok és pontosan lediktálni nekik. Amelyik csapat először végez feláll, tehát verseny. (Az sms-ben az állt, hogy azonnal repülök hozzád Maria, persze nem ilyen tömören és egyszerűen) 10.: Alan feltette a kérdést, mi James foglalkozása, mért ül éppen repülőn Málta felé? Elsőre nem tudtuk, de mondta, hogy olvassuk csak el, hogy amikor háttal ültünk egymásnak, akkor mit diktálunk a Busted együttes tagjairól. És ott volt, James az egyik tagja a Busted-nek, tehát zenész és koncertezni megy Máltára. 11.: Miközben James a repülőn utazott szerelmét egy dalban mondta el, azaz egy dalszöveget írt, aminek megkaptuk először a sorvégeit, azaz a rímeket és párba kellett tenni őket. 12.: Megkaptuk a dalszöveget a hiányzó rímekkel, és nekünk csapatban (4-esével) kellett megpróbálni beírni. 13.: Lejátszotta a Busted dalát (igen, még csak most és igen ez egy létező dal) és leellenőriztük, hogy jól gondoltuk-e a dalszöveg rímeit. 14.: Két tanulónak el kellett játszania egy telefonhívást James és Maria között, amiben James meghívja a lányt a koncertjére és kéri, hogy menjen el vacsorázni vele a koncert után, mert valami fontosat szeretne mondani. 15.: Párokban el kellett játszani a találkozót a koncert után, egyikünk James volt, aki szerelmet vall és a másikunk pedig Maria, aki eldönthette, hogy Jamest vagy a gyerekkori barátját választja. 16.: Az egész csoport együtt megvitatta, hogy melyik párnál mi lett a Love Story vége. Alan egy zseni! Egy ócska nyálas slágerből mit kerekített...

Alan was expecting bad weather, so he changed the curriculum, and the light, musical class came. In both classes, we dealt with what can be extracted from a music video known and loved by young people. I will describe one of them for you, pay close attention, because all the tasks revolve around a story: 1.: He wrote on the board the phrase "it's bust" and its several forms and meanings, and we got to the English boy band called "Busted". 2.: We were given a text in pairs, one of us had one half, the other the other half, and the sentences were cut in half in the middle. They had to sit with their backs to each other and dictate the missing parts of the text to each other. The text was about the band Busted. Whoever was ready first got up to indicate, They are the first. 3.: Picture Dictation: We had to put everything down and listen to a picture description and imagine what the picture might look like. 4,: Listen again and draw where we think what is located in the picture after the dictation. 5.: Getting up from our seats, walking around and showing each other our cute lame drawings. (The picture shows a man and a woman, as the woman hands the man a photo next to the plane that is about to take off) 6.: Picture Story: he put pictures one after the other on the projector, approx. 15 pictures and create a story from them under his guidance. Based on the pictures, the story was born that James lives in London and meets Maria, who is Maltese and a fashion designer. They fall in love, but eventually Maria has to travel home. 7.: We didn't write this down, but had to memorize it (it wasn't that short and concise) and tell our partner exactly, word for word, if we made a mistake, we helped each other. 8: A week after Maria went home, she wrote an email to James that we could read on the screen, but we only had 30 seconds to say whether James was happy or sad. (It was sad because Maria wrote that she was going to marry a childhood friend soon) 9.: Running Dictation: James texted Maria, and the 3 people at my table learned the text of the text from the fact that I had to run to the other side of the room to memorize what I knew and dictate it to them accurately. The team that finishes first stands up, so it's a competition. (The text message said that I will fly to you immediately, Maria, of course, not so succinctly and simply) 10.: Alan asked the question, what is James' occupation, why is he currently on a plane to Malta? We didn't know at first, but he told us to just read what we were dictating about the members of the band Busted when we sat with our backs to each other. And there he was, James is one of the members of Busted, so he's a musician and he's going to Malta for a concert. 11.: While James was traveling on the plane, he told his love in a song, i.e. he wrote a lyric, for which we first received the end of the lines, i.e. the rhymes, and had to match them. 12.: We received the lyrics with the missing rhymes, and we had to try to write them as a team (four). 13.: He played the Busted song (yes, just now and yes this is an existing song) and we checked if we got the rhymes of the lyrics right. 14: Two students had to act out a phone call between James and Maria, in which James invites her to his concert and asks her to go to dinner with him after the concert because he has something important to say. 15.: We had to play the meeting in pairs after the concert, one of us was James, who confesses his love, and the other was Maria, who could decide whether to choose James or her childhood friend. 16.: The whole group discussed together which couple's Love Story ended. Alan is a genius! What did he make of an old sleazy hit...

Vissza a meleghez. Alan kreativitásának köszönhetően túléltük a klímátlan keddet. Amikor kijöttem a suliból egy nyelvtanos csoport éppen a MUZA nevű Szépművészeti Múzeumba indult, és megkérdeztem hogy csatlakozhatok-e. Nagyon örült a tanárnő, mondta, hogy semmi akadálya. A múzeum 2 percnyire van szerencsére az iskolától, se a kisutcákban fújó Sirokko gyakorlatilag megperzselt bennünket. Szaladtunk be a klimatizált múzeumba. Rengeteg szép festményt és szobrot láttam. A szobrok tetszettek a legjobban. Láttam egy eredeti Caravaggio-t! 

Back to the heat. Thanks to Alan's creativity, we survived a cold Tuesday. When I got out of school, a grammar school group was going to the Museum of Fine Arts called MUZA, and I asked if I could join. The teacher was very happy, she said there was no problem. Fortunately, the museum is 2 minutes away from the school, and the Sirokko blowing in the small streets practically scorched us. We ran into the air-conditioned museum. I saw a lot of beautiful paintings and sculptures. I liked the sculptures the most. I saw an original Caravaggio!

A múzeumból kijőve nagyon megéheztem, pedig ilyen melegben ritkán éhes az ember. Elsétáltam a két percre lévő kis kajáldába, ahol többször ettem már korábban ftira-t. (egy szendvics jellegű étel, amit összesütnek, egyszerű de nagyszerű) Mikor megérkeztem, éppen a ventilátorokat szerelték össze is kapcsolták be, de ezzel csak rontottak a helyzeten, mert a forró levegőt kezdték az arcomba fújni. Nem is ettem ott, csak ittam egyet, az is dobozból, mert a pohár, amit kihoztak gyakorlatilag forró volt. Visszamentem az én kedves, klimatizált hotelembe és ott ettem egy remek gombás pizzát.

After leaving the museum, I was very hungry, although one is rarely hungry in such heat. I walked to the small cafe two minutes away, where I had eaten ftira several times before. (a sandwich-type dish that they fry together, simple but great) When I arrived, they were just installing the fans and turned them on, but they only made the situation worse because they started blowing hot air in my face. I didn't even eat there, I just drank one, also from a can, because the glass they brought out was practically hot. I went back to my lovely, air-conditioned hotel and ate a delicious mushroom pizza there.

Ahogy megtettem a délutáni órákban a kétszer két perc sétát, eldöntöttem, hogy ki nem teszem a lában este nyolcig a hűvös hotel szobámból. Ennek több oka is volt: 42 fok, 1 óra tömegközlekedés, tömeg a strandon, 42 fok) Szó szerint úgy éreztem, hogy ha kimegyek ropogósra sülök. Este nyolckor merészkedtem le, hogy elmenjek a szomszéd utcába milkshake-et inni, ebben egyszerre elfáradtam és leizzadtam. Csak azért mentem el sétálni egy kicsit, mert már nem volt veszteni valóm, tudtam, hogy úgyis le kell tusolnom még egyszer lefekvés előtt. Majd holnap elmegyek a Golden Bay-re.

As I took the two-minute walk twice in the afternoon, I decided not to leave my cool hotel room until eight in the evening. There were several reasons for this: 42 degrees, 1 hour of public transport, crowd on the beach, 42 degrees) I literally felt that if I went outside I would be fried to a crisp. At eight in the evening I ventured down to go to the neighboring street to drink a milkshake, I was tired and sweaty at the same time. I only went for a walk because I had nothing to lose, I knew I had to take another shower before going to bed anyway. I'm going to Golden Bay tomorrow.
