Kedves Olvasóim!

Elég későn, ámde bősegesen reggeliztünnk az egyik magyar kollégával, hosszasan beszélgettünk, így volt időnk végigenni a menüt, és megkóstolni a nem jó kávékat. A beszélgetés is jó volt, de a személyzet és a szálló nem készült fel arra, hogy (egyszerre) 10 vendégnél többet is ellásson. A szálló recepciója nagyon szép, a festett felülvilágító romantikus hangulatot varázsol.

It was quite late, but we had a hearty breakfast with one of our Hungarian colleagues, we had a long conversation, so we had time to go through the menu and taste the not-so-good coffees. The conversation was also good, but the staff and the hostel were not prepared to cater for more than 10 guests (at the same time). The reception of the hostel is very beautiful, the painted skylight creates a romantic atmosphere.

A kurzus spanyolos lendülettel csak 14.30-kor kezdödött. A recepción találkoztunk, és szállóval szembeni templomnál kezdtük az első programot, az ismerkedést. Párokra, majd két csoportra oszlottunk és három egymondatos állítást kellett mondanunk, két igazság és egy hazugság formájában, persze a hamis állításra kellett rájönni. A társaság jelentős része olasz, sőt Közép-Itália, magamban egész jó rangsort áĺlitottam össze, hogy ki mennyire képes kiharapni a pókot a sarokból, reszkessenek a pókok, a verseny igen erős.

The course, with a Spanish twist, only started at 2:30 p.m. We met at the reception and started the first program, getting to know each other, at the church opposite the hotel. We were divided into pairs and then into two groups and had to say three one-sentence statements, in the form of two truths and one lie, of course we had to figure out the false statement. A significant part of the company is Italian, even from Central Italy.

Városnézéssel folytattuk. A Nuestra Señora de la Peña de Francia templom volt az első helyszin, ahol már épp voltunk. Itt őriznek egy szobrot, melyet Saint Carmen-t ábrázolja, évente egyszer derék helyiek (harminc markos férfiember) megragadják és egy fesztivál kiséretében leviszik a tengerhez, hisz a halászok védőszentje, ez a második legnagyobb fesztivál, csak a riói nagyobb ennél, ha valaki hisz az idegenvezetőnknek. Pár napja volt ez a fesztivál, vagyis lemaradtunk. Kármen pedig a Kármel-hegyi Szűzanya, azaz Mária. Mivel ma van az ünnepe, így a templom körül csak körbevitték síppal, dobbal, de nádihegedű nélkül, nem mocsár ez kérem, itt óceán van, nem holmi láp pócokkal.

We continued with sightseeing. The Nuestra Señora de la Peña de Francia Church was the first place we visited. A statue of Saint Carmen is kept here. Once a year, strong locals (thirty men) grab it and take it down to the sea during a festival, because it is the patron saint of fishermen. This is the second biggest festival, only Rio's is bigger than that to our tour guide. This festival was a few days ago, so we missed it. Karmen is the Virgin of Mount Carmel, i.e. Mary. Since today is his holiday, they just took him around the church with whistles and drums, but without a reed violin, this is not a swamp, please, this is an ocean.

A város főbb nevezetességeit fedeztük fel, pl. a Lago Martiánezt, a Tanári-szigetek (ha már egy testületnyi tanár megszállta, a felük pedig fecske kanári módjára fecsegő olasz) híres szülötte, a szobrász César Manrique alkotta. A természetet formálta meg, és annak tökéletlenségét, ezt adják vissza a medencék formái, a természetet mutatja gyökér formájú falomb, fémből zenélő faszobor (számoltam a sz-eket!). A városháza épületét, a kikötöi erődöt, annak ágyúit is megcsodáltuk a kellő lelkesedéssel, majd a kikötőt és a város legrégebbi házát.

We discovered the main sights of the city, e.g. Lago Martiánez was created by the sculptor César Manrique, a famous native of the Teacher's Islands (already occupied by a board of teachers, half of whom are Italians who chatter like canaries). He shaped nature and its imperfection, which is reflected in the shapes of the pools, nature is shown by a log in the shape of a root, a musical wooden sculpture made of metal. We also admired the town hall building, the harbor fortress and its cannons with sufficient enthusiasm, then the harbor and the oldest house in the town.

Némi séta után végre elértük a homokos strandokat is, na ekkor ért véget a program, de választható elem volt a fürdés, hurrá, végre csobb. Na igen, három stranddal arrébb van az, ami aztán igazán homokos, a strandok netovábbja, na odáig elporoszkáltunk vagy négyen. Kevesen voltak a strandon, vékony felhőréteg szűrte a napot, és az óceán is nagyon hullámzott, de ez nem állított meg minket, irány az óceán, jöjjenek azok a hullámok. Jöttek, megemeltek, egyszer meg is pörgettek, dagály után száradás, irány a vacsora, evés után szieszta a teraszon, aztán a fieszta, mert már hallottuk a dobokat, jött a körmenet.

After some walking, we finally reached the sandy beaches, and that's when the program ended, but bathing was an optional element, hooray, finally jumppp. Yes, three beaches away is the one that is really sandy, the beach of the beaches, and four of us got there. There were few people on the beach, a thin layer of clouds filtered the sun, and the ocean was very wavy, but that didn't stop us, let's go to the ocean, let those waves come. They came, lifted it up, twist it once, drying off after the high tide, heading for dinner, after eating a siesta on the terrace, then the fiesta, because we had already heard the drums, the procession came.
