Tenerife 5. nap
Day 5.
We started with the usual morning warm-up, which was now Baamboozle, we were divided into two groups and had to choose a number from a 4×4 board, the other group started and immediately won 20 points as a gift, we got a question, it was also related to the first day, but we answered it, we got 15 points for it. After that, the numbers hid more and more questions, but the other group once had to do 10 squats, and then we got a question that we didn't even learn the answer to, it will be in the last day's material, after some reluctance we got the point for it, because it wasn't our fault, the other group drew another exercise, in the end our last card hid a mem question, but the other group took 25 points. For a while I felt that they were not equal to us, that they gained too much advantage for nothing, but I thought it was even worse. The conclusion is that the teacher can also make mistakes.
An important part of PBL is the driving question, that is, the DQ, our teacher talked about this in detail, what a good leader is, I want to say, a leading question. We delved even deeper into the mysteries of PBL, why it is important to take it from the point of view of the student or the teacher. Then we were given the task to plan a session, with output goals, expectations, types of tasks, checks, opening and closing events. The given samples didn't take a day's work, they could have worked on each sample for more than a day, we are now expected to create this in less than 60 minutes. Fortunately, after the session plan, there were also a few activities that brightened up the course of the education.
In the afternoon we went on a trip to La Orotava, a pretty town, we went by public transport. One of the island's oldest and most representative churches is located here, the Spanish conquerors tried to show the strength of their faith, that is, to those residents who were not exterminated. Unfortunately, we could only see it from the outside. I can recommend the town, there are many attractions, all of them are marked with signs, you can get more information with a QR code. A German friend of mine with Hungarian roots recognized me in La Laguna on Tuesday and asked me if he had seen me, it turned out that he and his girlfriend are also on an Erasmus course, so we arranged a meeting today. They came to Puerto de la Cruz for a trip and then to swim, fortunally I already knew the local beaches well, so we went to the best place to swim, they had never encountered such big waves in Tenerife. Almost all beaches are free, but there are few really good sandy bathing spots. I can recommend Playa Maria Jiménez, don't be satisfied with Playa del Castillo, you can sunbathe in the black volcanic sand, but if you go into the water, it's already rocky, just keep walking to the third beach, it's not that far. And Loro Parque is close to Playa Maria Jiménez.
To be continued....
